Redwood Rings from 2×6 Dimensional Lumber

Redwood Rings from 2×6 Dimensional Lumber

These rings were made by using 12 individual segments of Redwood 2×6. They were mitered with 15 degree cuts on each side so as to make for (12) 30 degree joints which add up to 360 degrees, or a full circle. Then they were rabbited, glued and nailed together with plywood tenon’s. Once assembled, a router was used with an compass (a stick with a stationary pin at one end and a router fixed at the other) to shape the rings and put a detailed edge on them.
